4th of July…A little late

Nora had a very nice first 4th of July.  We went down to NC to visit Grandma and Grandpa Acquilano.  She has changed so much since they saw her last.  She also made friends with their dog Joey.  They loved each other.  Susie didn’t really care either way.  She thought Nora had cool toys, though.  On Saturday we had a nice cookout.  The weather held out for us.  Our neighbors Annie and Jim came over along with a group of my friends from ECU and their kids.  Nora had a blast and everyone’s baby was so cute.  It was nice to catch up.  We don’t get to do that very often.   We also took a trip out to the Carter’s outlet.  Nora got a new wardrobe of cute clothes.

Nora has started doing a lot of new things. Check out all of our new pictures and videos.  She rolls all over the place now and scrunches up like and inch worm to get places.  She’ll be crawling in no time.  She can also sit up on her own for about 3 seconds.  We started Nora with a taste of foods when we got back from NC.  So far she has had rice cereal and avocado.  She likes both of them.  She is definitely our child.

Countdown to baby time!

Well, ready or not the baby is going to be here any time. Things at Carmen Drive are starting to get exciting. The nursery is all done (shh… don’t tell Marie, I do have one small job left, replace the air return grill) and we have at least a starter batch of clothing in gender ambiguous colors to get the baby started off. It’s hard not knowing what the sex is, but we are excited for the surprise.

Take a look at the nursery, complete with the appropriate Pooh accessories. Thanks to all of you that gave us such nice gifts!

We had a bit of worry the last few days, as we thought the baby was still in the breech position. We took this on as a challenge and tried everything we read that could possibly tempt the baby into flipping head down: playing music through the iPod tucked in Marie’s pants waist, laying on her side with her legs up high, marie laying with her feet up on the wall (you should have been there for that one, it was hilarious) Today we had an ultrasound, and the baby is in the proper position. Now, if it will do as it is told and stay down there everyone will be happy!
